Geography
Hudson Oaks is located at 32°45′2″N 97°41′49″W (32.750427, -97.696978). According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.5 square miles (6.5 km²). The town is just located near Weatherford.
Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,637 people, 546 households, and 475 families residing in the city. The population density was 641.7 people per square mile (247.9/km²). There were 569 housing units at an average density of 223.0/sq mi (86.2/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 96.09% White, 0.79% African American, 0.37% Native American, 0.43% Asian, 1.28% from other races, and 1.04% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.97% of the population.
There were 546 households out of which 46.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 78.6% were married couples living together, 4.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 13.0% were non-families. 10.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 3.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
